Exemption Checklist

Seniors

  •  60 and older by January 1, 2017 (copy of Birth Certificate)
  • Owned and Occupied home as of January 1, 2017
  • Must Meet CPA Affordable Housing Income Limits
  • Completed Application (everything filled out) and signed Copies of Tax Returns and Income verification for all members of household for previous year
  • Documentation of all medical out of pocket medical expenses claimed for previous calendar year

Low Income Persons

  1. Owned and Occupied home as of January 1, 2017
  2. Completed application (everything filled out) and signed
  3. Must meet CPA Affordable Housing Income Limits
  4. Copies of Tax returns and Income verification for all members of the household for previous year
  5. Documentation of all out of pocket medical expenses claimed for previous calendar year                              

Application can be filed on the beginning of the fiscal year (July 1, 2017) until the deadline of April 1st or 3 months after the actual (not preliminary) tax bill is mailed.

Incomplete applications or failure to provide required documentation will result in denial of exemption.
